Duties/Responsibilities:
This individual will be responsible for managing and evaluating the Company's facilities program inclusive of energy management and quality assurance to ensure optimized efficiency. Create the strategic vision and effectively manage Ann Taylor's utility portfolio to ensure cost recovery and minimize performance risk and is responsible for developing all utility budgets and monitoring usage versus plan. Additionally, is responsible for identifying potential energy savings projects and developing other programs to drive down consumption. Maintains close working relationships with utility representatives and rebate programs. Manages the procurement of Energy contracts. This person will provide regular guidance to senior management as to changes in the market as well as updating monthly expense projections. This person will also assist in quality assurance of work performed in our retail locations; ensuring new initiatives and programs are implemented and executed with successful results across our chain with on site inspections as required.

Providing guidance and vision to comprehensive energy and utilities management plans, conducting energy audits, developing energy savings projects.

Manage outsourced partnership with energy management company including bill payment, budgeting, energy awareness program and other initiatives; as well as Landlord CAM charges for electricity.

Constantly seeks ways of reducing consumption by location through (a) capital investments in more efficient HVAC components, (b) identifying opportunities to reduce load during hours the stores are closed, (c) investigating new technologies, (d) making recommendations to improve EMS performance.

Implementation of the appropriate preventive and planned maintenance programs including the planned refresh program Interfaces with the Store Operations Teams and the Maintenance field teams to ensure best practices are adhered to for lighting overrides and the timing of equipment start-ups as well as other rollout initiatives.

Works closely with utility representatives and various industry trade associations to stay abreast of changes in regulations impacting rate as well as supply/demand impacts in the market, providing senior management with monthly updates on all factors affecting consumption and cost.

Support and coordinate all existing store capital and project plans with related teams.

Contribute integration of financial activities; including developing, planning, and analysis.

Evaluate scope of work for stores including capital and expense projects

Ensure overall quality assurance with new initiatives and rollouts, as well as brand appropriate stores.

Available for travel to various markets to ensure safe, operating and brand appropriate environments.
Education/Skill Requirements:

Minimum five years of full time experience in energy management, facilities service with and national chain.

Ability to prioritize workload; follow-up on assignment; maintain service in a cost effective manner.

Proficient in computer software for administrative purposes.

The ability to communicate effectively with management, associates, staff and vendors.

Dependability, punctuality, attention to detail and consistency in adhering to policies and procedures.

Engineering background in construction and HVAC.

Experience with renewable energy, metering technology and building controls is highly desirable.

CADD, and facility design experience is preferred.

Strong technical writing skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work well with small and large teams.
