Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This role will control $65M of vendor spend and performance through analysis, development, planning and implementation of the strategy and execution within the Gap Inc. Facilities Services Business
  • Works with Strategic Sourcing to capitalize on opportunities for savings based on consolidation of spend, increased efficiencies, and economies of scale both for Gap Inc. and our suppliers
  • Implements supply chain re-engineering initiatives
  • Drives supplier management activities (e.g.: Quarterly Scorecards, Quarterly Business Reviews, New Vendor On-Boarding)
  • Understands total cost of ownership and influences Facilities Services fact-based decisions
  • Drives Key Performance Indicator (KPI) improvements, maximize store uptime and identify process optimization/cost savings opportunities whenever possible
  • Works with specified Business Partners to establish and track annual budgets and savings initiatives
  • Creates and leverages tools and processes that define supplier relationship expectations, including partnering in the RFP process, contract development, and supplier KPI's
  • Working with Facilities Leadership, coordinates appropriate Brand and Field communications

 

Customer Service:

  • Provides exceptional customer service to Facilities Services HQ, Field, and Call Center teams
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with Brand Head Quarter Business Partners, mainly Operations & Finance, at all levels.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of store priorities and terminology.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

1)   Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Proven P&L management
  • Strong negotiations and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build teams and partnerships in driving initiatives/projects
  • Proven ability to leverage department knowledge to influence internal and external Business Partners in support of achieving strategic goals through evolution of process and/or business model
  • Customer service oriented

  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, category management, and supplier management concepts

2)   Minimum educational level:

  • College degree in business management or related field
  • Advanced degree preferred

3)   Experience:

  • Required:  3-4 years general management experience
  • Preferred:  3-4 years of vendor management and/or Strategic Sourcing in a Facilities Environment.
  • Preferred:  Store operations or service management experience
  • Required:  Scheduling management and resource planning
  • Required:  Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (excellent Excel skills are a must)
